Alarm Beep

should the alarm beep when locking and unlocking as mine dont and if your not looking at the lights you dont no if it has locked or not as it is very quiot when it locks the doors

if it should how do i turn the option on

I had a MKII and it did not beep either. I know the alarm worked it went off a couple of times when i left the windows down and the wind went through and set it off. That is a good way to check that it is working. :lol:

standard setting is no beep but apparently you can switch this option on, in the settings if you have vagcom

Does anyone know if this will work on a Mk1 aswell? I'd love to get my alarm to bleep as it is hard to see the lights flash in daylight sometimes.
