I'm no expert but i wonder if you need an concentric slave cylinder. May be worth looking it up. If that gets fitted then it might be worth having a clutch at the same time anyway as you might find it may be worn.

I'm on my second tdi and both clutch pedal have been realy heavy the wife says it makes it hard work in traffic . My dads 2.3 petrol has a light clutch so i just put it down to the tdi. Hope some one has a fix. :wacko:

I would just like to add that when i had my concentric slave cylinder and clutched replaced the clutch pedal was easy to press but hard before.

got our 98 s reg, 110 tdi 4 years ago and the pedal was heavy then with 120,000 mile son.

it failed at 145,000 a few weeks ago and had a new chutch and cyl fitted, pedal is now light as a feather.
