dab1hand2 Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 My clutch pedal has always seemed harder than it should be.it might be just me but it seems to be getting worse. Does it need a new clutch? Quote
stevie m Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 I'm no expert but i wonder if you need an concentric slave cylinder. May be worth looking it up. If that gets fitted then it might be worth having a clutch at the same time anyway as you might find it may be worn. Quote
sparky1000 Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 I'm on my second tdi and both clutch pedal have been realy heavy the wife says it makes it hard work in traffic . My dads 2.3 petrol has a light clutch so i just put it down to the tdi. Hope some one has a fix. Quote
stevie m Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 I would just like to add that when i had my concentric slave cylinder and clutched replaced the clutch pedal was easy to press but hard before. Quote
marinabrid Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 got our 98 s reg, 110 tdi 4 years ago and the pedal was heavy then with 120,000 mile son. it failed at 145,000 a few weeks ago and had a new chutch and cyl fitted, pedal is now light as a feather. Quote
