Great - aux heater didnt fire up this morning just clouds of smoke - time for another new glowplug I think (hope) I got the last one from Hans motors 4 years ago - anybody got one from elsewhere recently - how much ?

nik if its not the glow plug,remember ive got another booster heater in my garage m8 :lol:

Only get parts now and again. Got these when i bought one. I was offered them at the right price so i got them to offer them on here so we all can save. I have got rid of most of them but still have a couple left.

oh bu**er Sh*t .... got one of the new wire ended glwplug - planned to change tomorrow but .... just went to the shops ... the heater fired up ....

 

 

now why - loose connection on glowplug or the glowplug efficiency has gone down - only 7.5 degrees tonight, the other morning when it wouldn't fire up it was -1 degrees

 

 

what do you think folks ?????

Is this what causes the aux heating system to kick out huge amount of smelly smoke? Mine has just started doing that, and I'm not totally sure its actually heating anything up....is it easy to install?

Cheers. I could swear this morning thatthe smoke wasn't just coming from the exhause itself, but the body of the unit as well, though it was a bit hard to tell. And it made a terrible noise when I turned the engine off. For a unit thats just over a year old its not impressive, if its broken altogether I might not do anything about it, as the last one cost in the region of
