daz131 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Just had a nice guy from the forum come and read my ecu with his Fault reader and was given a code cant find it anywhere can anyone help the code is B0414 i dont know if you need the manufacturer of the reader but what ever it was it was reset giving my Gal a whole new lease of life. daz131 Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 Stevoo, Got myself one of those readers and its still doing the same thing looked on the manufacturers disc at the DTC info but cant find B0414 on there at all How can they give a code and not tell you what it is thats plain stupid.Dont know what OMG is i think that was a string from another person fault on mine. going to have to get it read by proper VAG Com to get this one sorted i think. it hasnt given the MAF error so it cant be that, wanna by a V6 he! he! he! maybe its a gearbox ECU Code or something im completely lost now any ideas Quote

As you have a Ford and engine is a VW have u tried calling both dealers to see if they recconise the fault code??As i dont know wether your ECU is a ford one or a VW one?!?! I had same issue with my mates Punto, gave a code and a weird description, went to local dealer and they found the code on their system. Turns out his ECU is dead :lol: Quote
