Help Urgently Need

I have just been told tonight that i am in need of a new dual mass fly wheel. I know these are expensive, can anyone point me in the right direction as to get one at a reasonable cost. I have had such a bad day and this has topped it off.

ive just checked flea bay,LOOK LIKE THERE QUITE A FEW BEER TOKENS M8 ;) ;)

dunno if this part could be soured from a scrappy,or a car thats being broken up on ebay might be worth emailing some of the sellers to see.

I thought of that but rac man said no when i spoke to him when he was fixing my saxo tonight when the exhaust fell off while doing 70 in the overtaking lane. Left warrington at 6 got in at 10.20pm

Unfortunately Stevie, you are best to get a new one and no they are not cheap.

 

You wouldn't put second hand discs on you car, so why would you fit a second hand flywheel?

 

From what I have seen it typically costs arounf

Try GSF they can identify the exact part from your VIN and its about 60% cheaper than the stealers

Thank you all for your help. Unfortunately the build date for mine is before the recall (Thanks mumof4 anyway ;) ) I have found a clutch and dual mass flywheel and I have got an amazing deal ! Far cheaper than everybody has said (no i haven't pinched it ;) ). Got someone to fit it too. I have saved hundreds !

 

I have also learn't that there is a conversion kit out there to change it into one. ;)

Makes me wonder how many others didnt get the recall....

 

there have been quite a few recalls for the galaxy, inc the S-max, that site is very good at checking to see if your vehicle is being recalled for any reaon and it goes back to 1992 IIRC.
