99 tdi afn

on the bulkhead theres a vacuem thingy i believe is N75 the right hand side unit, when stopping engine it makes a horrific noise that lasts for approx 1.5 mins, is this normal or is it faulty as im still in limp mode till i get rid of some faults as below

4 Faults Found:

00626 - Glow Plug Indicator Light (K29)

31-10 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent

00553 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70)

31-10 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent

01262 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)

31-00 - Open or Short to Ground

00519 - Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71)

28-10 - Short to B+ - Intermittent

 

not sure whats going on but my glow light is working and these were cleared and all came back.

Hi Zorgman ..... from my limited experience with this and looking at your fault codes I would tend to ignore the intermittent failures and concentrate on the N75 .... Boost Control Solenoid. What type of noise are you talking about? As there are three vacuum pipes connected to it, I would start by checking for leaks around those pipes. One of them goes off to a filter so it may worth checking the filter and I know one of the others goes off to the VNT diaphragm. I can't remember where the other went to ...... another solenoid I think. N75 valve about
