Beyond Help? Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Why do you feel they need changed? They are pretty good, unless you have done starship miles they should be servicable. Quote

ghazibaba Posted November 30, 2007 Author Report Posted November 30, 2007 with K&N filter as well. Quote
Charlie Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Just remove your existing injectors and take them to a diesel specialist for reconditioning, they will normally replace the tips and recalibrate. These specialist companies normally turn them round in 24hrs Then they are as good as new Quote
ghazibaba Posted December 1, 2007 Author Report Posted December 1, 2007 Thanks, do you recomend checking the MAF, before doing injectors? Quote
Beyond Help? Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Well I just did a 1000+ mile round trip in my 135K miles TDi and averaged 53 MPG. I don't think your problem is your injectors. Your K&N, is it a panel filter? And yes, I would want to see the MAF and the Turbo boost graphs before I spent over Quote
scrote Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Hi - had a misfire problem with my 02 TDI which was diagnosed as an injector fault - I took the top engine cover off and stripped and cleaned the wiring connectors to all injectors as well as the connector at the cylinder head which cured the problem. I am told the injectors are VERY reliable and your problem may be electrical ? Just a thought - good luck scrote Quote

The injectors on a 110 BHP engine are spring loaded and use the injection pump pressure to open them. Quote
