steve67car Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 as title says i know this has been done before but this is is slightly different money is no object in the purchase of a motor carthis car does not need to be an every day car so can be a week end only car what would you buy but before you answer there is 2 rules even though money is no object in the purchase you must be able to maintain it no modern hyper/super cars so will you think and then answer and will people think back to their youths and what dad/grand dad drove Quote

adrianf. Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Without a doubt Re living my younger days when i used to have one. Promised myself i will have another one day when the funds allow. Trouble is good ones are getting thin on the ground, most have been up a lampost or into Dixons front window. Quote

Saif Rehman Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I would have my old car back any day - a Vauxhall Calibra 4X4 Turbo in Glacier White. A car that was in a class of its own, a low drag factor, 204 bhp, leather interior, 6spd close ratio gearbox and the awesome 4X4 that was so good even with bold tyres, in the wet it still stuck to the road like glue. The only thing that let it down for some reason was the porous cylinder head which i spent a hugh amount trying to get it fixed. At that time, plonkers use to transplant this engine into tiny cars like the Nova with no upgrading of suspension or brakes, you can guess what happened! Quote
MadBaz Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Not sure if this counts as a super/hyper carI suppose it does Quote
Octavia L&K Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 For me, it would have to be this http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f175/jess0202/355front.jpghttp://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f175/jess0202/355back.jpghttp://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f175/jess0202/355side.jpg Ferrari 355 Spyder F1. Octavia L&K Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 (edited) sorry chris to modern and classed as a super car so please choose again :angry2: How can it be a "Super Car" When it doesn't hit the Holy Grial of 200MPH. But never the less, I will pick again, and come back to you all. Chris Edited November 12, 2007 by Octavia L&K Quote
