dab1hand2 Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I'VE GOT P REG 2.O PETROL (DOHC) EVERY TIME I PRESS OR RELEASE THE CLUTCH PEDAL IT CLICKS ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH IT TRAVEL. YOU CAN ALSO FEEL IT WHEN IT CLICKS. Quote
neiluk Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Has it been doing this long? I can't be sure about a Galaxy but my Daewoo Nexia did this for about 2 days before my clutch cable snapped. I think it was a frayed part of the cable catching on something as it was pressed. I hope this doesn't happen to you soon. Neil. Quote
MadBaz Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Galaxy's have a hydraulic clutch so it couldn't be the cable catching, check the pedal isn't snagging, also there maybe a switch on the clutch pedal, ensure it's secure. other than that it will probably start to get expensive (master/slave cylinder, pressure plate, tranny). My money would be on the slave cylinder/release bearing, check for drips of tranny fluid where the engine and bell housing meet. Also check for leaks around the pedal, indicates master cylinder, of course there may be none. Oh, and please turn off your caps, it's regarded as shouting  Quote
dab1hand2 Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 When I press the pedal down it clicks near the bottom and when I release the pedal it clicks near the top. It sounds like it coming from the pedal - it sounds like something plastic it catching - I have had a look and it doesn't have a switch - and I can't see anything obvious. Quote
