31Firefly Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Hello, My Gal's central locking doesn't lock all doors, the rear passenger door doesnt lock/unlock with the central locking. Also i noticed that the door will be unlocked on the inside and will not open on the outside.(child lock is on so i can't open from inside). Also i was hoovering out the car with the stereo on and all of a sudden all the interior lights went brighter and the stereo stopped working and doesnt work now. is this connected to the central locking problem?(noticed round the same time) i have checked fuses and are ok thanksG Quote
MadBaz Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 It sounds like the wiring in the door gaiter has broken/split (common problem esp on tailgate), if a bare live has touched a speaker wire then your stereo/amp will be knackered, needless to say the wiring within the gaiters will need sorting.
