Tail gate seems the easy and cheap solution. unless you wanna get custom pods made and fitted but then there is still the question on where to put them so they dont get bashed by ya passengers.

best place is in the back panel but be warned you will have to make up spacers and when you buy your speakers make sure you get a set with the shallowist mounting depth that you can find. i,m using infinity reference 6x9s in the back and i had to put a 30mm spacer behind them and the still hit the inside of the boot lid

the best place to mount them is right next to the light inspection covers as this is the place that offers the most room

Id seriously think about where you're going to put the nuclear reactor to power the 1000W amp before you think about the speakers mate!!! 1000W?!!! ..... I assume thats peak power? .... blimey that'll draw more current than the starter motor.

6 x 9's are Loudspeakers that are oval in shape and whose dimensions are 6 inches by 9 inches.

I pit my 6x9's in the front doors. I elongated the round holes of the original speakers, they had a collar/spacer included with them so they sat quite proud of the outer door card and did not foul the window/mechanism inside the door.

I was feeling brave that day, look and sound good though.

Looking for that image of where best to fit speakers in the rear, anyone got it ??

Carl.
