Hi all,

Could anyone tell me what the letter stands for on tyre description,e.g 195/65/15R,and would a 195/65/15v fit on the same rims? :)

On my gal I have 195/65/R15 95H REINFORCED

 

195 This is the width of the tyre tread in mm

65 is the aspect ratio in % (hieght of sidewall divided by width)

R Construction type

15 wheel diameter

95 Load Rating (upto 690kg I believe this is the minimum for a Galaxy) more info

H Speed rating (up to 130 mph, T is the minimum for the Gal) more info

reinforced/extra load VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT you must get reinforced/extra load tyres on a Gal.

 

I know an old gal won't do 130 Mph, but as I understand it, the load and speed rating work together.
