Hi All

 

As you know I am always on the scrounge for this site, the good news is what I am going to ask you to do costs you nothing, zilch, nadda, not a penny,,,,,,,,,

 

All I would like you to do is try out 2 of googles FREE products, Google Pack and Firefox with Toolbar, Sample them if you don't like em' ditch them (Personally I think they are tools you will want to keep).

 

For every individual that downloads, google credits the sites account with cash, Please only download if you are actually going to use the products if not don't download them.

 

I would recommend you try out these products, you never know you may like them

I would prefer you only download if you want to try the products, I cannot and will not suggest you /I try deceive google as it may bite me and the site (violation of googles policy). The software is safe and good.

 

I can only point you in the direction it is up to you to evaluate the software.. or not

 

 

Personally I won't be offended if you don't want to try the software, I hate new stuff as well but I have been using firefox for years as it is not targeted by viruses and warns you about activeX components, etc.

for some reason I think pages load faster in firefox than IE i don't know why this is, I have firefox in the head office in work and at home, in our retail outlet I have not added it there, I have been there for a few days now and I notice the difference.

 

As for this site, It does have a lot of overhead and CPU on server always around 80% so this site is slow at the best of times.

I've been using firefox for years, no problems. Isn't it strange how ie7 looks and feels almost like it, not as bullet proof as firefox though.

BTW its miles better than ie6 - soon get used to tabbed browsing

i have IE6..never really had that many probs with it..crashes every now and then..but otherwise ok...

 

im slow to change where my pc is concerned..just dont want everything going wrong...

yes all three of my current pcs have both ie and firefox installed - I occasionally find a site which doesn't display properly in one - haveing both solves the problem - make sure you import favourites when you install.

 

Not really a google fan - usually use copernic (although google has improved but when you do searches google hands out sponored links which are not always appropriate)

Mum you can have both installed without any worries.

 

Nik if your worried about it registering I suppose you could uninstall and re-install :10:, probably won't count though.

wow! just installed fire-fox it is a amazingly quick compared to internet explorer 7!! also it is helping out this wonderful galaxy site.........

Well I uninstalled and re-installed firefox with the Google toolbar. Does this site only get revenue when we use FF & Googlebar or was the installation the only point the site gets anything from ??

Oh and I forgot to say that you can change the skins for Firefox - I am running a particularly cool version in 'Aluminium' ATM but I quite like 'cool ice'

Oh my word..i had to go back to the normal skin to see the buttons..downloaded firefox...so much different!!ive got firefox and IE open!..blimey..

download and install, go to tools, addons,theme - click on the scheme you want, select use theme and retar firefox - loas of skins available, using cool ice atm as a change from Aluminium Kai - Mrsnk is using 'scribble' icons change as the mouse rolls over thm :wacko:

downloaded, installed and about to be deleted! :wacko: site doesnt run any faster! colour's appear flat and dull, text looks like it was done with a pen running out of ink! :wacko: and I just used fire fox to open some of my other sites to be told I need an additional add on! oops there isn't one available! doh! typical - want to load Firefox at work but can I find the link on this site (on any skin) - either something is blocking it here (at ISP level) or the changes have made it disappear - I know I can't seen the adverts here even before the recent changes
