Hi

I have been trying to install a kit on my wifes 1999 Zetec TDI but as the CLM is no longer under the passenger seat I have been trying to install behind the fuse box, it is not as easy as I had hoped trying to access the cables in the loom, also have a problem with cable colours :-( ,

I read somewhere that the CLM may be behind the facis on teh passenger side , is this a better location as far as cable access ???

Thanks

Just fitted a unit to my Seat alhambra ........ ended up fitting inside drivers door panel as I had to wire directly into drivers lock/unlock motor ( my ECU was faulty so I couldn't use the easily accessible lock / unlock green and grey wires ) . Panel pops off and you have access to all the wires you need !!!! maybe an easier option for you.

good luck

***** just a quick point to all users ...... these units may NOT work if your ECU has failed !! ....... I had to use two different wiring mods , one to short ALL the locking motors together and the other to wire in the remote lockings trigger signals DIRECTLY onto the drivers motor unit .... the lock/unlock ( green / grey wire ) did NOT trigger remote central locking ***** if anyone wishes to see wiring details they can email me @ jose.cunningham@googlemail.com *****

Hi Guys,

This is a great guide - I have a question regarding the wiring that was moved from under the seat to under dash. I am fitting an Alarm system with remote unlock/lock and have all the wires through to the fuse box area. The question is, which is the unit that controls the C/L and are the wires the same colours as decribed in the guide ( I have a 2000 Sharan with key only central locking ).

Thanks guys

Chris

Anyone out there?

I am also looking to find out where to conect the wire for the door signal as there appear to be five of these, and the left and right indicator signal wires.

Thanks in advance.

Chris
