I find the item description a little confusing if not misleading 'better built than galaxy' as the Galaxy, Sharan and Alahambra MK1 & MK2 were all built at the same factory in Portugal. VW did the design and Ford did the bolting together, and I doubt if the factory had differing quality control process for the different manufacturers. If you can prove otherwise then leave youe description otherwise it may be prudent to remove it!!!

I think you will find my sharan has a vw engine. Galaxy's were not availble with the 1.8 T engine either, but smallest engine on ford was 2.0 zetec.

A: I didnt realise i was going to offend or confuse people, but the sharan WAS more expensive to buy new than the galaxy, and you cannot argue that VW IS a more prestigious badge, unless your some kind of ford nut. In my opinion the sharan does have a better level of trim and does have a VW engine which is more reliable than a ford. But thanks for your question..

i was under the impression the hierarchy was alhambra at the bottom, gal in the middle and the shazs at the top

could say it was like me thinkin my ford escort mk4 was better than its contemporary rival vw golf. :(

that would depend on what Mk of Golf you were comparing it to? if your referring to the Mk3/4 lardy boys then in my opinion you may have a point! (VR6/R32 NOT INC) but if your even thinking of comparing your poxy escort to the greatest hot hatch known to man............. the Mk2 then your greatly mistaken

but yes your correct in your class listings of the shalaxy family! but then VW drivers are paying for the badge and reputation, Ford drivers are paying for the incompetence of the dealer network and Seat drivers are paying less for more until it goes wrong then they end up paying more

I'm VAG through and through, but I have to agree with you on this one. The Focus ST is outstanding for the price. A brilliant drive.
