Not that I've heard of. One or two have comtemplated trying to put the VW TDI unit in place of the Petrol but given up on cost/complication grounds.

I had thought of this on my V6

But isn't the 2.0L a Ford engine, if it was surely there would be a monster amount of work both mechanical and electrical.

All the engine management system and instrument panel, wiring looms, fuel systems, fuel tank, exhausts etc.

Personally I would have thought it would be uneconomical and to many risks involved. Just not worth iy.

yes its a ford lump and the same type as used in mondeos. there is no ecu as its mechanical pump so thats easy just the heater plug circuit to wire and the cut off.

thats why i thought about the conversion

don't forget the exhaust is towards the rear of the engine on the endura engine and this will have to be allowed for, would be interesting to see if it was possible though!!!!

How will you get on for the emissions part of the MOT as the test figures will have to be based on a Diesel Galaxy NOT the engine you are fitting.

Surely a written off Diesel Galaxy as a donor vehicle would make the job easier.
