Welcome Bassman,

I had a similar prob with acceleration, although mine didn't misfire, very sluggish though, I changed fuel filter and no more probs. (you should have seen the **** that came out of it).

As for the brake judder, I'm afraid I can't help, the only time I've felt something similar is when ABS activates, that was on my old Scorpio :D , don't have such luxuries on the Gal :D .

Hiya Bassman .... is your nickname "as in fish" or "as in guitar"?

Your problems should be sorted by our resident experts .... I'm pretty good with clutches but not much else :D

My input (bearing in mind I'm not the expert on here):

1. Brake servo problem? ..... really the only thing that can give "pressure" feedback to the pedal.

2. Somehow the fuel might be evaporating due to the the added heat - (old sierra had a similar problem due to split weber carb to inlet manifold spacer/heat insulator so fuel was avaporating in the float chamber)

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum

:D

Hi Guys. thanks for welcome. am at work at present, but will have a look at the beast whan I get home.

thanks for the advise.

fuel filter was changed last week, so I have discounted that. certainly seems like a fuel evaporation problem, owing to the times it happens. will definitely check that out.

As for the name, it is bassman as in guitar. I play a Bass, (not very well) and as a sideline, import and sell electric guitars.

thanks again.

Hi Maz,

As I said, not really a business, I do it just because I feel that more people would get to play, if they had decent instruments at a good price. you can get cheap imnstruments in many places, but they are just that, cheap, and hinder anyone trying to learn.

I am new to these forums, and unsure as yet how to operate them, if you knwo how, PM me,and I will give you good price.

That makes three of us then. I too am in exile after spending my formative years in Kirkby. At least here in the relative calm, football wise, of the West Country Monday mornings aren't a matter of life or death like they used to be when I went to school in the '60's. :( :( Andy.

:( Had a Fender Jazz once .... sold it and bought a Hohner Precision copy ....You're right about the cheapies these days. Played ten times better than the Jazz.

Ah yes ... going to work in the Albert Dock on a Monday morning after The Derby .... either hunting for the rednoses to give em some grief or hiding in a corner hoping they didnt see you! I'm now in the West Midlands after 30 years on the Wirral .... there are more sh1t teams here than anywhere in the country! It's nice feeling footballingly superior all the time
