Guest vectradam Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 could anybody tell me where the idle speed control valve is located on a 1998 1.8 zetec focus, as i suspect this is causing erratic idling, hunting and stalling. thanks Quote

DaveLL Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Mad Baz, you are an absolute star. I managed to find and replace the crankshaft sensor on my wife's Focus yesterday using your nifty little diagram and it started first time. Mind you, the sensor was shot to pieces - the second she's had installed in a few years. Much appreciated. Thanks. Quote
Richeyw92 Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 Hi Mad Baz You don't know how long I have been looking for a diagramme like this!! I'm installing an aftermarket ECU on a kit car which uses the 1.6 Zetec S engine and have been having a hell of a job finding out which sensors are which, so you diagramme is a great help. However if you could help me out with a couple of points I would be eternally grateful..... I can't located the vehcile speed sensor from the diagramme, can you descibe where it is? Also is the cylinder head temperature sensor the same as the coolant temp sensor? Finally do you know where the air temp sensor is, if there is one - is it part of the MAF sensor? Cheers R Quote
