  1. Hello, please disregard this post as I have managed to work out the connections now. Regards, Jim
  2. Hi, I started replacing the silver bezel in our V6 Galaxy and got called away for an emergency. Can not find the bit of paper I noted the connections on and so now I have switches for Heated screen heated rear window ESP (Sorted now) heated seats (Sorted now) hazard lights (Sorted now) and no way of determining what goes where. Happy for you all to have a laugh over this but please respond quickly as I need to go back to the hospital soon and don't want to drive it again with all the wiring loom hanging out. Cheers Jim.
  3. Well the good news is the problem appears to be resolved! Eventhough I had the battery and alternator tested and they were apparently okay the problem persisted. I ordered a replacement battery from www.Tayna.co.uk and this seems to have fixed it. Car starts 1st time every time. Battery site listed above was very good and had better spec Varta battery for the price you would normally pay for a standard battery at most of the usual places. Thank you to everyone who provided suggestions, I can go on holiday reasonably safe in the knowledge that the car will start each time. Cheers Jim ;)
  4. Earth strap checked and okay. Not able to check starter motor but seeing as it starts from a jump I put that to the side for now. If I do invest in a new battery where would be the best place to look? So far Halfords will do one for
  5. There's a classified section! :P This place just gets better and better. Now I've just got to find it ...................................... still looking .....................................Oh here it is. WOW its goooooood
  6. Work this one out. Galaxy V6 on a 52 plate, original battery. Won
  7. I bought some from Halfords that were a one size fits all affair. They were called Eurolites and are recommended by RAC and the AA. These were were a single use also and difficult to remove after. Personally I would not recommend them as the were impossible to place accurately. It took me and a mate the entire time on the tunnel crossing to France to put them on and I still got flashed a few times. He used Duck tape on his Galaxy whilst shinning his headlights at a wall at this worked just as well. Wouldn't recommend using a knife like he did as he managed to scratch his lenses quite badly I haven't seen any that were reusable.
  8. Perhaps its worth determining if it is at the same filling station or all stations? Many years ago when I worked on a project implementing computer systems at petrol filling stations we had issues at certain stations and the result was at busy stations such as Motorway Service, the fuel flow is quicker to enable a faster fill. This can obviously result in the nozzle getting blow back and the pump cutting out more often. As previously mentioned slightly rotating the nozzle can help.
