Pulled my control module apart today inside the car and found a 'dry joint' on the PCB (surface mounted components) - works a treat now with good range. A bit of a fluke to find fault mind you - but I always look for things like this - seeing as the Galaxy's are prone to a bit of water ingress. Regards SAV :ph34r:

Mike, When the OIL indicates on the dash it means that the vehicle is ready for an oil change. This is a calculated output in miles from the last time the oil was changed and more importantly oil reminder reset. FORD reset this oil indication once the oil has been changed, I am not to sure how or if it can be reset by the DIY mechanic, I am sure it can be done, It
