I think the lock micro switch is faulty on my rear passenger door (door locks - unlocks- locks - unlocks when I lock the car so it is always unlocked!!) I want to check the wiring to the door befoer I go through the door card removal process so daft question but: How do you get the rubber boot off? Hi, I'm being told I have two (front) disc size choices for my gal.. From what I can see 300 is the only option but I have seen 288, 300 and 312 mentioned. Is 300 definitely the correct size? Thanks

Daft question:: Should a mk2 zetec (1.9TDI) have a computer? I don't seem to have and just wanted to check if maybe the display is broken (while its still warrantied(ish)) - I just have the top half of the indicators i.e doors open, beam etc.. the bottom panel is always blank. ??

no it isn't leather (the mondeo its replacing has done >90k and the leather wheel is fine too). Everything else tots up - went ahead and bought it.. Test drove it on close to the hotest day so far this year so the aircon seems to work ok - not very strong is it? Cheers

Just looked at a 52 plate 1.9tdi with 39k on the clock. Everything looks right (including service history and last bill) apart from the steering wheel - took a friend who is a user car dealer with me and he thought it looked good too. It has worn a lot more than I would have expected is this normal? Thanks

Hi, I'm looking at getting a galaxy - I've decided on a TDi - preferable a zetec but my only real requirement is that the central row hsa 3 3point belts. I thought this was standard from early 2001 (according to parkers) but two Y regs I have asked about both had lapbelts. When was this introduced? I assume the belt come out of the roof -is this correct? Finally - I'm looking at 60-80k mileage - should I be checking if timing belts etc have been changed? Cheers Mark
