This is driving me crazy, so can someone please tell me if they have bought a cheap Vag com cable for a 2004 tdi and if so which one and where from? Cheers Matt.
-
Right, I've got a vag-com lead and I can't seem to find the Galaxy on the list of chassis all I can find is the sharan and alhambra. Where am I going wrong? Cheers Matt.

Hi, thanks for the comments and when you said it might smoke you wasn't joking "BLOODY HELL", I waited for a few seconds and David Copperfield didn't appear :angry2:. It seams to be working IE; Jet engine noise(cool) and pumping out warm air, so I will just give it a good burn off when it gets a bit colder. Cheers Matt. PS Signature added.

Hi, This thread got me thinking as I only bought our Gal in the summer and didn't check the aux heater until this morning and is it normal for the exhaust to leak gases and drip diesel type fluid? Cheers Matt.
-
Arse, I don't have a boot changer as it was a retro fit, but thanks anyway. Cheers Matt.

Hi, I might be sounding a bit green here, but I've got a MFD in the Galaxy and always thought I could play music Cd's in until I tried today and they don't work. Am I missing something here or are the MFD's only meant to read the map discs? Cheers Matt.

OK then does anyone know how I can find out if my 2004 auto tdi is CAN-BUS? Cheers Matt.

The story goes; I took the drivers seat out to install a dvd headrest with no problem, Then I did the passenger one but half way through I had to use the car and the airbag light came on because the the seat was missing and when I put the seat back the light wouldn't go out. I have tried the battery idea with no joy, so I was going to try the vag-com route. Cheers Matt.
-
Hi, I've tried a spare seat and the airbag light is still stays lit and I've tried taking the battery off without any joy, so I've come to the vag-com. Anyone? Cheers Matt.

Guess What, They Crushed My Sills
mattc replied to rwtomkins's topic in Dealer Service and Reliability (Galaxy)
Wow this site is brilliant, when I was buying our Glalaxy 4 weeks ago I noticed both front cills were damaged and both me and my mechanic friend were scratching our heads for ages trying to work out how this could of been done. and now I now the penny has dropped. Has anyone got any advice on DIY repair jobs? Cheers Matt. -
Hi Wolfie, I fly arcs so my smallest is 10mtrs. I guess that's why I'm now in plaster...... Sorry to take the thread on a tangent, but I thought it only polite to reply

Yes Ouch, I was kiteboarding at our local spot and landed badly and managed to break my tib, fib and dislocated my ankle, but s**t happens  .

Sorry I'm just a bit bored as I broke my leg thursday and now I'm sat in bed for 12 weeks surfing the net

Hi Again, Does anybody know which vag-com lead I need for a 2004 Zetec TDI as I can't work out if I need Can bus or Kline. Cheers Matt.
-
OK, it's making sense but how about rolling circumference? do you have to reduce the actual circumference at all? Cheers Matt.
-
Hi, How do you work out the circumfrence, because I checked the 215/55/16 tyres and the table says it's 2020mm. The reason is because I was thinking of setting mine with 235/40/18 tyres and I'm not sure on the circumfrence. Cheers Matt.

Ok I get the hint(there's no one in my area), so Which cable and software do I need to buy for my 2004 tdi Zetec auto? Cheers Matt.
-
Nuts... It didn't work, so back to the drawing board if anyone can help. Cheers Matt.
-
Thanks Richard I will give that a go tomorrow and let you know how it goes.. Cheers Matt.
-
Hi, I've been messing about with the front seat and now the airbag light stays on I've tried disconnecting the battery without joy, so I was wondering if there is anyone in the Bristol area that could plug me in and give me a reset? Cheers Matt.
-
Done it, I ran a 3core cable under the glove box and and behind the sill trim which was so easy I couldn't believe it. Thanks for all the advice. Cheers Matt.
-
I was thinking forward facing as it's a standard car stereo type(front slot)and under one of the front seats so I can connect the headrest screens easy.
-
Sorry I guess that would help...... I was thinking of under either one of the front seats.
-
I've had a re-think and I'm going to take a feed from the radio, so does anyone have any advice on the best route for the cables? Cheers Matt.
