  1. Many many thanks to littledaz for this great info ! It allowed a speedy diagnosis and repair of my perplexing problem. Pulley failure occurred at 69000 miles on 53 reg TDi
  2. Hi, Question regarding the little dashboard computer that shows MPG/temp/trip miles on a Mark2 Galaxy (2004) Can it be turned off, i.e. display completely blanked? Somehow my display went off and it happened when accidentally turning the ignition key on/off a few times. The display then remained off during the journey. Some time later I did some further fiddling about and the display returned. I don't know the exact sequence, or if indeed it was just coincidence. When it was turned back on, the trip meter and journey time were at the values present when the display was turned off. So, can the computer display be intentionally blanked or do I have a faulty computer display? Note-there is no mention of this in the 2004 version handbook. Thanks in advance for any comments.
  3. Hi, interesting thread but to get back to the point - Do we have a definitive answer regarding the risks of using biodiesel in the PD 1.9TDi engine? The 2004 Galaxy handbook specifically says DO NOT use biodiesel.
  4. Have had our first Galaxy a month now (3 yr old 60k miles) and I'm still surprised at the lack of 'feel' and sensitivity in the brakes. Nothing untoward though - it stops OK.
