  1. Chrispb, You make it sound so simple!! What is the "scuttle plate"? And I think the link you posted is for a Mk I - is it a similar procedure for the Mk II? And do you need to drain the reservoir through one of the nipples on one of the calipers? Thanks. Regards, Jon
  2. All, I think I need to replace my brake Master Cylinder on my Mk II 1.9l TDI Ford Galaxy (brakes work, but pedal slowly moves towards the floor). I have searched and searched this excellent site but cannot find a procedure to replace it!! I see a few comments of "...I replaced my brake master cylinder..." as if it were a standard job, but looking at the engine bay and considering how hard it was to simply fill up the brake fluid reservoir, I am not so sure. Thanks - would appreciate any advice!! Regards, Jon
  3. Any idea which circuits run close to, or in, the dashboard? I've tried disconnecting many fuses but still to no avail!! Driving me NUTS!!! Cheers, Jon (2003 1.9l Galaxy)
  4. I have an almost completely opposite issue - I cannot get my dashboard illumination to go out and it keeps draining the batteries!! I have removed various fuses (including fuse F28 which is supposed to be the dashboard illumination fuse) but the lights stay on!! I have removed the dimmer/headlight leveller switch but to no available. I am very confused - anyone got any ideas?!? Thanks. Jon (2003 1.9l TDI Galaxy)
