Hi MO4 Nationwide will not pay unless you take them to court, when you issue court proceedings against them they say they are going to defend it, in my case they paid up after 21 days, they have 28 days to submit a defence, but as far as I know they have never actually defended a case.

All the best for your claim Wonkydog, is it normal for Lloyds to go through the allocation questionnaire route before backing down, I'm claiming against Nationwide and have not received an AQ yet, but it appears Nationwide are paying up right at the end of the 28 days. Like you I am registered with the consumer action group.

Just read in the paper this new high rate includes the 2.3 Galaxy, but only if first registered after March 2006.

I rang Natwest yesterday to ask why I had not received my written offer of settlement and was told it takes up to 4 weeks for them to send it and it could not be done any sooner, I told them that it was not good enough and I thought that they were stalling, and that I would be handing the court forms in first thing on monday. I received my written offer this morning. :lol:

Vag-com Connection Problems?

3 fault codes 65535,17978 & 00588. The first 2 apparently are quite common,I cleared them,took car for a run and they did not return,the 3rd code I expected would show because airbag warning light is on,this is probably a faulty clockspring. -
Hi all It was suggested recently that the probable cause of my airbag warning light being on was a faulty clockspring,I have now done a vagcom check and fault 00588(airbag ignitor resistance too high intermittant)comes up,when I clear this code it returns straight away,does this confirm faulty clockspring or perhaps point to something else.

Tried using my Vagcom for first time today but was unable to get it to work,it kept on telling me "No responce from controller" as luck would have it I noticed JohnR's instructions in this thread and now it works. Many thanks to JohnR Faz -

I have just noticed your car is petrol not diesel,so relay layout could be different to my handbook.

According to my handbook the relay arrowed on the left of your picture is 3rd blower position/full throttle shut off,relay arrowed on right is deceleration relay.
