Hi, has anyone had issues with there camshaft sensor? I'm fairly handy so happy to give it a go I just wondered if anyone has done this repair.
My car died at a roundabout, then wouldn't start, garage suggested battery issue (so repalaced) still no start, diagnostics reader said camshaft sensor but garage said could be that or timing issue.
My question (as I'm no mechanic) if the timing was out would it have driven and potentially skiped a tooth on the belt causing huge damage (which the garage have said) or would the failed sensor cause a no start? If so where about is the sensor located?
