  1. Its better to be safe than sorry Our Galaxy TDi Cambelt has snapped 10K early @ 109k, even though it was changed as per the 40K Service Schedule See http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=9452 for more details
  2. Unfortunately I don't know the answer those questions It could be the belt from the 40K service as they both had the same part numbers I have had problems with this dealership when they opened in 2000 (when I bought the first new shape Galaxy) as most of the technicians where trainees Also the car in questions, is now for sale on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=110022408453
  3. No, Ford don't know its been Superchipped which was done when it had 500miles on it No warranty, just they guarantee their work for 12 months, yet the problem is down to the parts being supplied direct from VW which we've always done even for the servicing parts as Ford premium on VW parts is joke
  4. I have a 2002 (52) Ford Galaxy Ghia TDi 115 BHP (Superchipped to 160 BHP) & running on 100% Biodiesel with 109k which I've owned from new I have had the servicing done by my local Ford dealer & as per the owners handbook, I've always had it changed at 40k Now last week it snapped on 109k (29k for the cambelt), I have a local mechanic look it over & nothing untoward that may have caused the failure such as a worn tensioner or waterpump. Problem I have is that I purchased the cambelt kit from VW as they where
  5. I guess from whats being said here, that a TDi 115BHP isn't covered by the recall I currently have a 115BHP Ghia first Reg'd 02/12/2002 & built 25/10/2002. Does anyone have any offical info stating that its just the 130BHP, as they both use the same flywheel? I do not want to lose it to a fire cause by a failure which is part of a recall
