  1. I have a 2009 Galaxy III Gaia 2.2 tdci whose alarm keeps going off for no reason. Had to disconnect battery last night so looking for any suggestions urgently please. I lock doors with remote fob as normal and alarm goes off after a couple of minutes. I have double checked all doors closed. Tried to leave car unlocked so not arming the alarm but still goes off after couple of minutes. Just going to try reconnecting battery and connecting OBD reader and will update if I sort it, but would appreciate any suggestions where to look. Thanks, Neil.
  2. I seem to have a similar problem on my 2009 2.2 Galaxy Ghia, 62,000 miles, and would appreciate any assistance. last weekend, after driving for 40 minutes i could smell smoke, lifted the bonnet and smoke was coming from the rear, right hand side of the engine. Thought it was going to catch fire. Thought it was an oil leak from a pipe or turbo onto exhaust. Could not put family back in car so arranged recovery to my trusted local garage.Garage could not replicate the problem after leaving on tick-over on ramp for 45 minutes and taking for 25 minutes drive. No obvious oil-leaks.This weekend, went for 200-mile round trip drive, no recurrence of problem.Today, after 30 minutes drive, exact repeat of initial problem, smoke coming from right hand rear of engine.Does anyone else have a similar intermittent experience? Does this vehicle have an auxiliary heater? although references to smoke on other forums are when cold, not after a reasonable drive? pls heeeeeelp thanks, Neil
