I`ve had this problem today, I brought this car two days ago knowing about this problem, today I took the handle off and the plastic piece that goes over the metal arm had snapped off. well that`s an easy fix eh, of I popped to the breakers and got another handle for £20, came home and fitted it no problem, until I checked it by opening the door using the outside handle. I then took the card back off and took the handle back off to inspect the inners of the newly purchased handle and sure enough this one had broken in the very same place. So, I know I`ll buy a new one from the ford dealers...wow...best part of £98, really! for a handle on a 13 year old car. So I hit eBay, found another handle for a respectable £19.90, great..nope! turns out there are three different sizes, and to be sure of the size I`ll need, tomorrow now, to take the front passenger door card off, take the handle out and then measure how many mm it is before I can order a drivers side handle... really, a simple hours work fixing a handle has now become a real headache. I can`t believe a simple, easy enough job can be so complicated.. does anyone have some advise, because im starting to think im loosing my marbles..thanks
