Hello All. I am a newbie to the site, although at 60 yrs old, I am an oldie..lol, well I live in York and work for Network Rail. I have asked to join your group because I tow a caravan with my Rover 2.0ltr Diesel Auto, she had to go in the garage the other day and I was lent a Ford Galaxy to get around in, I was so impressed that I am now considering getting one, I cant afford a newish one so I am looking at something about an 05 plate, I would like to ask questions of you guys who know these motors before I buy. I would like a Diesel Automatic, I have seen a nice couple of Manuals very nice actually but I believe that Autos beat manuals for towing, I have never had trouble with my Rover as an auto tow car, but as I said, I fancy a Galaxy. are they a good tow car ? are they a good vehicle or a money pit ?? these are the questions I want to ask.
