  1. Not a problem I will source a secondhand replacement for it. Thank you very much for your replies. With regards to replacing the unit is it as simple as getting is degassed... Removing the old unit and attaching the new and then regassing? Kind Regards Nick,
  2. Hello, Just turned the car on and turned the aircon / heater off and then reved the engine which was fine (it would normally cut out at this point). I then took the car for a spin with the ac/heater off and all was perfectly fine. Did notice before I switched the ac off that the display was showing stupidly high numbers and an error message of sorts... How easy is it to replace these? I see the haynes book of lies places it at 4 spanners! :)
  3. Hi All, The other day I was driving home in my Ford Galaxy when all of a sudden I heard a strange noise coming from what I believed to be around the gear box. It sounded like metal on metal grinding. It stopped as quikcly as it started and then the car was not used again for a day or so. When taking the car out on its next drive it did not go 100meters and then conked out... Made a horrible noise in the process. Please see my two videos below to hear the noise and on the second video I believe the device with the red ring around (Air conditioning Compressor?) it is what is stopping and causing the engine to stall (please correct me if I am wrong). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boE3eMfUphg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpCsA5SSun0 Any help greatfully received. Many Thanks Nick,
