  1. I've followed the door removal procedure as per the PDF doc ( ns front door)but just can't get the replacement door to go down low enough. The pins are sitting about an eighth of an inch too high. Ive tried the trusty hammer but it just wont go down. The original door came of easy enough and I've had to put it back on and it just dropped into place. Did they change anything , 're the diameter of the pins or the hinge it fits in to? I really can't see any difference so maybe I am missing something. Any advice would be appreciated. It's a 2006 VW Sharon and the replacement door is off a 2005 model, thanks

  3. Great Tip, I've had exactly the same problem today. Used the spare key and it fired up staright away and didn't stall. Will be out on the drive tomorrow looking for the chip!!

  5. Thanks for a really helpful and informative post, it made the job so much easier.The culprit was 2 rattling speaker screws! all done now though, thanks again!
