Prices are still listed but you cant get the parts and P/zwo will not deal with UK customers....Believe me I know. Only the arch extensions and rear spoilers are available , both of which have to be ordered through their UK dealer and then made up to order in Germany. Front bumpers are imposssible to get...I got the last one in the UK from a VW dealer in southampton for

Are they for a 4 cylinder or a V6 Galaxy ?

Says who ? Ive owned my 98 Ghia X 4x4 for 2 years and have had no problems with it . Fuel consumption difference is barely noticeable compared to my 96 2.8 Ghia . It certainly isnt crap !

Citrine Sold, Galaxy Search Begins
Ghia-X replied to baz69's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
Congrats on selling the Mondeo I can only give you 2 words of advice in looking for a Galaxy ...... V6 POWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ;) Hope you get a nice one baz -
I have a 2wd and a 4x4 V6 Galaxy aswell as a 2.3 Gal Ghia , and I would have to say without a doubt , the V6 is the one to go for , providing you can live with the marginally worse fuel consumption . All of mine are autos , and whilst my 2.3 is a very nice drive , both my V6s are smoother and more refined in the engine department . I have never found it felt "heavy" and they have always had ample performance . Mine being autos , means they arent as quick off the mark , but hit 4000rpm and they fly . Ive seen an indicated 136 mph on my 2wd V6 and it felt plenty fast . Ive only driven two diesels , both Mk1s and to be honest , they were slugs . Maybe the later 130 and 150 bhp versions are better , but as I personally dont like the Mk2s , then I couldnt comment . I guess if you want to save on fuel then join the tightwads and buy an oilburner , if you want the best of both worlds then go for the 2.3 16v but if its power and refinement and effortless cruising ability you want , then its the V6 you should be looking at. My advice for what its worth , would be to go for a 98 - 2000 2.8 Ghia X in either Pepper Red or Melina Blue .

Rear Light Panel Swap.
Ghia-X replied to Steve S.'s topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
No problem , glad to be of help  Bagpuss Ford are correct , the chrome only comes with the Ghia rear panel , its not available as a seperate part , so if you want chrome it costs you big -
Both Remus and Sebring make a rear twin box for the Galaxy but they arent cheap . I went for a Sebring twin box on my first 99 2.3 Zetec . It was nicely made , extremely heavy , cost me

Rear Light Panel Swap.
Ghia-X replied to Steve S.'s topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
It is possible to remove the chrome trim but you have to be very careful with it . My 98 Ghia X 4x4 had a broken rear panel from a previous owner and I replacd it with an earlier GLX panel without the chrome. (Cost me 25 quid from a local breakers) To remove it use a very sharp knife and slide it between the chrome and the panel . The chrome part is held on with that double sided foam tape , so you can cut through it if you take your time. Once you get all the way around , the chrome should come off and you can clean the rest of the foam tape easily . Be careful not to pull to hard as you ease it off or it will break . When its clean , re-tape the chrome and put it on the car . -
All the Ghia , Ghia X and Ultima`s had a chrome trim on the rear panel . The Si and Zetec models had a black trim on the panel . Hope that helps

Heres a pic of my first Galaxy . A 2.3 Zetec which was fitted with Eibachs and 17" Fox alloys and 235/40 Fuldas . I had Morettes put on and a Ford rear spolier but no kit . Even with Eibachs , the rear arches were miles from the tyres but I didnt want to go any lower due to having it loaded up quite regularly . http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a84/arv6/galaxy/0galaxyzetec.jpg

Just the writer of the lyrics and the fact that the music was added later . :(

emailed them, but they put me onto a UK place that sells it, but they no longer sell it :( the only one they do is the Caractere kit, and i dont like that front bumper at all. anyone know what the ford RS kit looks like?? Have you tried Awesone GTi ? I know they used to do Projektzwo stuff...not sure if they still do though . Heres the Ford kit which is standard on the Si model . Its just a lower front spoiler and a pair of side skirts . There is nothing for the rear bumper .

Garth Brooks - Friends in low places .

Lowering a Gal is not too bad a job . The rears are easy . Its just a case of removing the lower shock mount and lifting the car high enough to let the rear beam drop until you can remove the spring . Re - fitting is just as easy . The fronts can be a pain in the a$$ if youve an older car . Typical Macpherson strut assembly but the top nut sits in a recess which always fills with water and that usually makes it difficult to remove . Best to let it soak in plus gas or WD40 for a few days before fitting. If you get it loose , its just a case of dropping the track rod end off the hub and removing the bolt at the base of the strut , and knocking the hub assembly down . The strut will come out and then you can get to work with the spring clamps , but be careful . First time I did it took me about 2 hours start to finish . That was on a brand new Zetec mind you  I will hunt some before / after pics out to show you the difference in the drop . http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a84/arv6/galaxy/0galaxyzetec.jpg

Ghia-X replied to sanjsanj's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Your signature says you have a T reg Ghia Tdi , and if thats correct then you should indeed have 16" wheels / tyres as standard so theyve been changed at some time . -
