  3. 140K woman driver 110K man
  4. early aspens did have two storage compartments as my 96 did but my new 03 ghia has only 1 but i don't think my aspen had an aux heater so that could be your answer.
  5. check for threads by seatkid i believe it was him that did it.
  6. for what its worth i'd say spend the extra money and get a decent mk2. diesel of course.
  7. any luck with this cause i have the same problem.
  8. Thankyou seems like a handy hint to know thankyou. well chuffed with myself cause i worked out how to swivel the front seats as well :) passenger POP the drivers though what a pain in the arse.
  9. Ahh so i set the temp and the air con works to get it too that temp. sounds so simple yet from what i've already read seems to cause so many problems and headaches, oh well i suppose this is what i get for wanting a nice new car and lots of toys.
  10. ok thankyou found the temp change does it also change the external temp readout? still in the dark about what a/c is though, and sorry to be a pain but what does the econ button do?
  11. My head hurts...i know there hundreds of different posts and threads but what does the aux/booster heater actually do cause i've just taken delivery of our 03 ghia and want to make sure its all working but its not cold enough here at the mo.
  12. Sorry to sound stupid never really been a car person (bikes all the way) and have been a bit skint so only now finally got a decent car that works and has all the toys, so pardon the ignorance but what is a/c i assume i have it as i have a 03 ghia 1.9 tdi(115) and climate control? i have a panel but its in f rather then c so is there a way to change this? i don't have a handbook at the moment so don't know how anything works.
  13. Thankyou appreciate the replys.
  14. I've seen people saying about having the cam belt changed at 50K along with the water pump but is there a list or some reference point for knowing what and when to change?
  15. I'm sure this has been covered in some form over many topics but a quick search didn't make me any the wiser, i've just got a 2003 1.9TDi (115) okay but it only has 8990 miles it has had 3 services so far with the last being june of last year at 8608 miles. so my question is with it doing so few miles should i get it serviced right now (only 300 miles in 8 months), in june (a year), or if i hit 10000 miles before then? I know its a year or 10000 which every comes first but it does seem like a bit of an exception in this case.
  16. ahh thank you simply when you think about it.
  17. Help please took receipt of our "new" galaxy yesturday unfortunatly the dealer had put the wrong handbook in with all the service records etc so i got a new ford galaxy handbook and mines an 03 so i'm having a bit of trouble with a few things. One of which is that when i turn the engine on i get a light on which is in the shape of an unpside down lightbulb with a exclamation mark in the centre and lines radiating out of it, it goes off after a minute or so but as such i don't know what it means if anybody could please help so i can get back onto the dealer if necessary. p.s the light is yellow and is on the right hand side of where all the lights come on.
  18. Looking to replace the bog standard ford 5000 radio anybody got any suggestions or things to look for have a 2003 1.9 tdi with the cd changer which i'd still like to be able to use. On my old one i had the aux input for sony mp3 player which i'd like to use as well unless someone knows a better way to do it.
  19. what is the sensor and what does it do.
  20. As i said previous we have exactly the same problem and it is the gear linkage that is worn.(not cables connecting gear stick to linkage)
  21. I have this problem and have had a reliable garage look at it, he told me it is the gear linkage and that it is badly worn, the expression he used was like stirring pudding in a bowl, hence me getting rid of car.
  22. yeah right mileage thought it was low at first but checked it all ok has been used as a mobility vehicle so has taken some old bint to shops and back and thats it. :16:
  23. Ahh thank you was thinking it was along the lines of an anlogue style of alarm to stop it going off if brushed against but this makes more sense.
  24. Can find many results in google saying what cars have it but nothing as to what it actually is? PLease help.
  25. Cheers yeah i've heard as much don't think i'll be using them for anything less than a sealed bottle.
