Hi how come this didn't become a ford recall? I have 05 mk2 the other day I thought I have never lowered the spare, I turned the nut less than a quarter turn and the unused wheel dropped to the ground!! I have removed the 4 rivets and yes u guessed the white plastic cog is in half. It is a design fault. Anyone know where they are made, maybe the manufacturer could repair or replace ? I have been quote £90 plus vat by local Ford stealer in Horsham Any ideas welcomed
