Just wanted to put my two pennies worth in- you ALWAYS disconnect battery when working on engine- what if the starter goes off while you have your hands on crank pulley!!.....or you short something which causes a spark, then an engine fire......ouch..... I also agree always make sure they give you the old faulty parts. I am a self employed mechanic and make a point of showing customers all faulty parts. Good luck

Hi, i have a '96 Galaxy Ghia with engine knocking, just done big end shells which had gone, but still bad noise. My question is whether the old Sierra DOHC 8V lump is the same ....... well i've been told it is the same, just don't know whether it has all the required holes drilled and tapped. If not, other ideas on easy(ish) engine change??? Cheers guys :D

Ahhhhhhh! Correctamundo.... number 39 has blown. Normal 25A fuse then. Cheers, now need to check my drain holes on drivers side for leak. :blink:

Just been out, maybe i'm stupid but i only have 22 fuses!!!. Did find one blown right at the top, above all the relays in a separate holder with a blue plastic backing which holds half the fuse. It says 32V on it?? Don't know what rating it is though as i used pliers to get it out due to it melting in! I'm soooo confused..................... :blink:

Cheers, the blower doesn't come on at all. Auto goes out on full, but still nothing. I will check fuses in a moment but fuse cover says fan is 19??? Or is that cooling fan?

Sorry to have two questions almost immediately but my other problem is a damp drivers side footwell- any usual suspects?? Cheers

Hi guys, new to the world of Galaxy's, wondered whether you can help. Climate controls all look fine but i have no blower motor at all, seems to be no power to resistor. The rear motor seems to come on a bit when it wants too. I have checked fuse number 19, all seems fine. Any ideas which relay i could need to look at?? Cheers :blink:
