  1. Hi I have noticed that the rear window wiper water jet has not been working, Upon investigation I noticed that water was leaking into the drivers side foot well. I have removed the little storage compartment and have a rough location of where the water is leaking from, however it seems to be under the front driver side post or there about. Q1. Is can I fix this myself or should take to the garage. Q2. If I attempt it myself where or what do I need to do? Cheers Coops
  2. Hi Is it possible somebody could tell me what the plastic strips are that can be stuck onto the Ford Galaxy roof bars that come direct from Ford are for. Looking and using the basic set of instructions I believe they are to stop wind noise? Any ideas Thanks in advance Chris
  3. Found the answer to turn off the seat belt alarm - well I thought I had (((Found the answer...sit in the car, close all the doors and then turn the ignition key to the no 2 position. Seat belt warning light comes on and then goes out. fasten the belt and release it nine times ending up in the release position, warning light flashes twice and hey presto ....no chime))) Everything seemed to work - No alarm after following the precedure above. Then a day later it is alarming out most of the time ( I have my seat belt on, nothing on passenger seat) - then the alarm starts again. Please any ideas? Thanks Chris
  4. Dear all Any ideas on how to adjust the sensor in the seat belt clip/button unit or if you can answer the above questions I would be most grateful. Cheers Chris
  5. Dave / Gregers Nothing at all on the passengers seat, removed the brown block and re-inserted, left the others as shown in the picture - they are to do with the electronic switch that slides the drivers seat forward / backwards. When the alarm goes off I believe it stops when I push down on the seat belt connector. Therefore I am thinking of moving the position of the seat belt end in the receiver part (the red bit) as stated by Dave. However I am unsure how I can get into the connector without damaging it? As a short term fix is there a way to disable the alarm - in the book it states see dealer. If I disable the alarm, will this have any impact in the way the air bags works Cheers Chris
  6. Dave Thanks for your reply, I will take a look tomorrow. How much are we talking? Is it easy to adjust the position of the seat belt end? Cheers Chris
  7. Dear all - Ford Galaxy 2009, 2.0 Zetec - think this means a mk 2 We are having an intermittent problems with the seat belt alarm going off. When it goes off it can repeat itself five to eight times. It can be when I am on my own in the car or when there is a passenger. Pulling the seat belt tight seems to help, but if you lean forward and then back it can start again. The alarm seems to be going off more and more. At the last service we mentioned it to ford, they said they could not find anything. Thoughts recently: is surely the on board computer would register the alarms. I don't want to disable the sound / alarm. With my engineers hat on (not a car mechanic) I am thinking that there could be a sensor that needs replacing. If I were to disable the alarm does this have any impact on the air bag? Also, in an old post it recommends dis-connecting the leads underneath the seat and then reconnecting them. I am a bit wary of doing this as there seems to be a large solenoid / type device under the seat. Believe this tightens the seat belt in an accident - forcing the driver / passenger into their seat. - could be wrong. Any ideas or thoughts gratefully received Thanks Coops
