just back from dealers!!!! they said that they have been on phone to the Ford tech people. and the dash has to come out because they think something has fell of the back? i have just checked the CC and it is not functioning the fans still blows when the CC is on low but set it to anything else and you get nothing. is it just me or is the fact that the GAL was in getting a relay replaced the day before mean something fishy is going on. (intermitant starting problem) could the relay change have blown the CC somehow? what can i expect from a dash out job. i.e will the dash rattle for ever more? i am expecting this is a warranty issue but it depends on what they find when they strip it down?

i have had so many faults recently i think it's time to invest in the old VAG-com. i would really like some advice on exactly what and where to get the cable and the software please. i have a perfect old laptop running w98se so it should be good to go.

Just got the GAL back from the dealers, it was in gettign an intermitant starting problem sorted, they replaced the " power hold relay" dont know the relay number. anyway i get the car back and the climate control panel is flashing on start-up! it wasn't before! i have check this site and although people seem to say that it's not a problem it does seem to indicate an system fault. i will be contacting the dealer today any advice on what i need to tell them to sort out? thanks 54reg 2.3 Galaxy Ghia

i had the wet passanger footwell problem as well! 3 month old the car was. the dealer fixed it by extending the A/C drain pipe, basically the pipe sticks out into the engine bay in front of the passanger side. the original pipe was cut too short and the drain was running back along the outside of the pipe into the car and collecting on the footwell carpet. good luck. :ph34r:

54 plate 2.3 ghia auto. has the intermitant starting problem. dash lights flash and ticking noise comes from fuse/relay panel. seems to start again after connection to a second power source i.e jump start. although not straight away need to let the car sit for a couple of mins before turning over. the car is booked into the dealer this week. i tried to explain that i had been reading about relay 3 or 30 or 27 problems from this site but they just looked at me with glazed eyes and said we'll put it on the diag machine! i said yes but it's intermitant! so you probably wont get it. some threads mention the auto G/box selector position as also being a factor? if the car is still under waranty can i force them to change the relays even if the problem doesn't happen there and then? why does connecting the battery to a second power souce sort it out if the battery is not low on power? i would love to get a soild answer from this so i could go to the dealer and say right this is the problem.
