Hi folks. I’m still doing battle with my cruise control. I took the nearside lamp unit out of the car. I did find a perished pipe. I checked for water in the pump thingy there inside the wing. That was all fine. I'm now wondering where I go now with this job and what the next step should be. Do I cough up and get a fault code test done at Fords' or are there other things I can check here at home? Any help on this would be very much appreciated

Hi All. I'd like to get a parcel shelf for my car. I don't really know how they fit. All I've found is a sprung hook thing behind the second row of seats. Is the the fitting for the retractable shelf? Thanks

Hi. My door handles have his horrible rubber coating on them. Much of it worn away. Replacing them would just be replacing the problem. Is there a paint I can use that will be hardy enough to make a tidy paint job of making the handles look decent? It really brings the car down the way they look now. Also, is there a post on here telling me how to remove the door cards? Thanks!

Many thanks. I'll take out the headlight assembly and have a peek in there. Hopefully it'll be a simple fix.

Hi I'm new here and I'm the happy owner of Mkii. I just bought the car faults n all and boy it's got faults at only 57.000m. I have a Ghia model, 2.3 2001 and yes it has cruise and yes it don't work. I was looking for an idicator light on the dash. All cars have that if they have cruise. It has an on and off swtich on the stalk so logic says it's got a control light on the dash right .... er no, it don't. Where do I start with my fault diagnosis? Firstly, where are all the bits? Is this a vacum system? An electric system? Is there a diagram of the cruise on here? I did look but didn't find anything I did pop into Fords today, sadly the bloke on the spares was clueless and couldn't help one bit. Any help I could get from you guys would be very much appreciated. thanks!
