Glad I found this post as the winding mechanism on my Mk1 Galaxy has just broken.

Just wanting to say hello, joined today as the electric winding mechanism on my Galaxy has broken on the drivers door when the window was in the open position. I've managed to get the glass back up but it keeps droppong down slightly as I drive along. Regards, Stuart
