Rear Drivers Side Tail Lamp
Pineappleman replied to Pineappleman's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Just to confirm its the rear drivers side tail light. The bulb is the one with both the tail light and brake light with just the tail light part not working. The number plate light works but on both sides the little tail light bulb does not work but i have since found that if you wiggle the small bulb on the passenger side around it then works but goes out once you drive, guessing the vibrations while driving knock it back out. So its the drivers side small tail light bulb and big taillight bulb not working. cant see any broken wires but i have not have a invasive look and will maybe pay for someone to look. -
Me again....... Feel stupid asking this but here goes. I was looking at the fuse box under the steering wheel and it seems to have a clear plastic cover on, how the hell do you remove this to change a fuse? mine seems bloody hard surely I am doing something very wrong lol.

Thanks BrianH I will have a look this weekend. Forgive a stupid question but why is the brake light cable on the top of the boot door? seems strange. -

Thanks for the help guys...... I changed the cluster and the problem still exists. Not sure where to check next but I have noticed that the smaller tail light bulb does not work. -
Rear Drivers Side Tail Lamp
Pineappleman replied to Pineappleman's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
cheers for that. my brake light works but seems slightly dimmer than the other but for some reason the taillamp part of the bulb fails to work. at the cost of a new bulb cluster being only £12.50 on Ebay i have decided to replace it in the hope that will fix my issue. Is this a common issue? anyone else had it? im dreading it being a wire fault as i will be screwed and will have to pay to fix it. -
Hi peeps Ok my rear drivers side tail lamp bulb has blown...... Replaced the bulb and still nothing however the brake filiment on the same bulb does work...... Could it be as simple as to replace the whole rear bulb cluster/holder? No idea really and at risk of being an idiot ..... What are the 3 different bulbs for 1 indicator and 1 brake/taillamp but what is the small one for? As always cheers Mk2 2003 1.9 115

Injector Wiring Loom Replacing
Pineappleman replied to aabrantes's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I did this very job last weekend....... many swearwords later i finally managed to get that bolt undone..... trail and error with a spanner in my case. Good luck -
Im just waiting for an injector loom to replace but having looked on here im thinking my problem could turn out to be something different. Ok i have cylinda 1 misfire and electrical malfunction and immobilizer blocked at engine start up. The car always starts first time but runs rough due to the misfire. The red LED on the drivers door is normal on the first start up but if i stop and turn off then on to reset the misfire the LED light has a party and flashes rapidly. Do you think my injector problem could really be a relay problem? I guess if after changing the injector loom if the misfire is still there maybe i should look at the relay. Any ideas?

Red Led Light Drivers Door.
Pineappleman replied to Pineappleman's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi The car starts fine with no problem. However it does have the problem of power loss and running rough at start up. I have done the usual searches on here and linked my problem with the injector loom wire thingy or maybe replacing an injector (ouch). The problem is after start up and can normally be put right by stopping and turning off/on again but can sometimes come back while driving. I hope to get someone handy with cars to look at her soonish to fix her. The red LED light is a seperate issue i noticed today but could of course be link to my problem. -
Guys and Girls. I have noticed that when i start my Gal the little LED on the drivers door flashes like mad for a few mins and then settles down to a slower flash for a while untill it stops flashing. Any of you car genius's know what my Galaxy is trying to tell me? Thanks in advance

Air Con Problem
Pineappleman replied to sasquartch's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I made the mistake of letting Kwik fit recharge my air con twice. Both times they never managed to get it working alto they said they did. I did get my money back so im not bitter however i shall never let them loose on it again. I have since found out a friend of a friend has a mobile aircon company and i cant recommend him enough. He himself owns a mk 1 galaxy and knows all the probs they have. I have a mk2 and he fixed it as quick as a flash seems that kwik fit oftern forget to add oil to the recharge. My advice is go to an expert not some oily rag who has done an hours course on how to recharge aircon. If you want a decent honest bloke to fix your aircon pm me and i will pass you the details. hes based in the Medway towns of Kent . -
I have worked with VOSA on tints (yes im a copper) And in kent we do mant stops. what i find most is that when the car leaves the factory they have the full tint allowed (70% front 75% windowscreen) and people get these firms to put on a legal tint. What they dont know is that adding a tint on a tint breaks the limits. Any person private or big dealer is breaking the law if they sell you a car with the incorrect tint limits i know VOSA do spot checks on dealers here. Also dont forget if you are in an accident and your insurance company find out you have dark tints they will say " sorry your not covered" even if its not your fault so be warned. Soon to be a 3pt offence too  Most they do at mo is get you to rip the tints off there and then or give you 10 days to do it and take it to VOSA to check. They will let you drive it home (windows open) and to VOSA for the check but thats it.
