Really is ther a reason it would go off intermittently? Central locking is fine

Just checked this. I have no dial above the passenger rear door and no controls in the clock. It just gets stranger

Thanks All fuses are good have pulled all of them just in case. The mirrors don't work either. When the wires are spliced, only the drivers side window works before blowing fuse.

wheres the 2nd battery supposed to be I cant see any heater controls in the back

Again i have the above vehicle. There is a relay under the driver seat. I can find no mention of this or its function. My issue is that it intermittently goes off. I can't see anything failing on the car. But it's like morse code every now and again Any help appreciated

I know this has been done to death, and there is loads of info in the FAQ's I have the above vehicle, but no electric windows at all. No global opening or closing. I do have electric opening rear vents - they work. When checking the wires to the drivers door, there have been some previous repairs to broken wires I have checked with a spare loom and still no joy. There has been some attempt at splicing various wires together at the widow and mirror switch. (red & yellow) Yellow & black) If i connect these together, the drivers window opens and closes for a few attempts and then blows the fuse. Clearly the switch and motor is ok as the splicing works. Has anybody got a diagram or code of colours to the doors. Does anyone have any advice please

Have looked in vain to find the engine code for my Galaxy Its a 99 tdi Ghia X I believe it should be a 110 but cannot guarantee this It needs a new clutch, and the variants are slightly different accordingly. Anyway i have a HPi check which states XK11590 And the vin has the last 5 digits above The timing plate sticker has perished and is not there I have the sticker in the B pillar. But still unsure

Ready to resurrect an old thread. Can anyone confirm the part numbers. I need the top (rusted) bearing is this 006 311 842 and is the rubber cover 006 311 109 Its a 99 5 speed tdi

Have a 98 plate 1.9tdi Galaxy. Initially car was stuck in 3rd gear, and gear selector was sloppy. Has just limped home and now no gear can be selected.... Have had a search for gearbox problems and have found 1. Cables 2. Bolt sheared. 3. Complete Failure 4. Rusted shaft What would these symptoms best lend itself to. Many Thanks Especially with 1st post
