May i ask how you know if your engine is a pd one?????

Oh.....and the left hand rear passenger door does not quite shut properly....there is about a 5 mm gap...not enough to set of the alarm!! :lol: Think that is it. Hubby knows nowt about cars and im not allowed to touch it till i pass my test on the 3rd feb. So in compiling a list as to what to do and how to fix em!!

ok...you asked for it!! a new front bumper a bulk head left headlight left front panel head unit for radio/cd changer two window motors for passenger windows switch for passenger front window(goes uo not down) motor for front windscreen wipers airflow filter(ours has been disconnected for about 3 months!!) um....

Thank you seatkid :lol: So much seems to be going wrong with our car at the moment and the quotes we were getting were over 2k to get them all fixed.i know what a tis cd is and im awaiting arival of that...its just the electrics im not sure of. :lol: .......

...i have a drivers side heated,electric wing mirror for the galaxy(got it for our mk 2 but never used it.).it be looking for a new home as it is just sat in the box room still boxed.We got it when some prat came too close to our car when overtaking us but then someone else took our bumper off in the dead of night and legged it so when we claimed they fixed the mirror so we had one spare! :blink: .It is primed and ready for spraying(so hubby says).IF interested let me know....It is brand new...(not bought off ebay)....from the garage down the road.Hubby says any reasonable offer will be accepted. ;)

at least a cucumber will stay up as long as it takes! B) :)

Manual.hubby just said that it got up to 31.5mpg at 85mph on motorway....tut tut!!!.lose his licence next!! :unsure:

Oh my vr6galaxy......where do you get your smileys from!!!.was having a looksie when the hubby was peddling thru swindon today on what our mpg was.29.7 at 60 mph.no idea if that good or not but ours is diesel. :unsure:

Well......got my cam belt done for

Im glad someone agrees with me Sharpies!.Ours was that fuse also....garage told us that we were lucky more damage wasnt done to the engine because of the overheating.cost us 140 to repair because of the loom melting due to the excessive heat.! :P We replaced the main fuse feed box ourselves but im banned from working on the car as i tried to repair the cd changer and couldnt fix it , so it had to go to the garage to get the loom done! :D

I recommend checking your main fuse feed box under your bonnet...is a wee black box.we had this prob and it was caused by a blown fuse which then affected everything else.A loom also got melted in the process by the fuse arcing on the alternator fuse+...lot of heat generated!!.ours is a 2001 galaxy.

Are you implying that because i am female i would not be able to do as good a job as you men who try to fix your own cars to save some money? :P .I fix many things around the house that need doing as i love to fix things.Ok...a car is a bit bigger than a washing machine or telly etc......but we all have to learn somehow...and if i fail and have to call on fraud to undo my mistakes then i will learn! :( BUT!!...i have no intention of failing....i like my galaxy.....and i have the time to fix it ....why should i throw my money at fraud when i can throw it at the money munchers!!!!!!!!lol.Isnt it why we are all here if we need help with a problem???to get advise from those who know on how to put things right!!
