many thanks for your swift reply Amarok. I did manage to activate the cruise with the code with vag com, the ecu says that the cruise control is enabled. All the buttons are shown as working and the two pedal switches are also working. Tried it down the dual carrageway... nothing. It must be something simple.??????????? cheers Martin.

I've got a 99 tdi 110 zetec, which I'm trying to retro fit cruise control. The new stalk is installed. VAG com says the pedal switches are working as are the 'set' 'res' 'on' 'off' and its activated. However, on the road - nothing!........... Any ideas? cheers Martin.
