Hi i had this on mine and it was the windscreen wash water! You will need to flush it out with a hose pipe for a good 5 mins.

You know, i've always thought remote locking is over rated!!!!!!

Tried lubrication today but thats another story! No, but it did help a bit so am going to try new linkages and ford have agreed to change motor on warranty( wonders will never cease!) Just out of interest before coming on this site my wife took it to ford and they quoted

I know this has been covered alot but could somebody please clarify this for me. There are remote blank keys on e-bay, what do i then need to do to get them to work on my car? A local locksmith said he can cut them. Its a 2000 pre facelift model that was sold without remote locking but have since found out it has and they must have just lost the remote key!!

Thanks guys will try those tomorrow! Went out in it before and they are just moving very slowly now.

My wipers have an intermitent fault which starts with them inching across the windscreen and then stopping and not working for a period of time. Come back the next day and they work again! Have had a new motor (under guarantee) and have had the linkages etc stripped down, checked, greased and put back together. It still does it a couple of times a week. Have read through the extensive info on this fault and still stuck! Any ideas anyone before i have to bite the bullet and take it to a main dealer? Its a 1999 TDi.
