Firstly thanks to everyone for the help i've had from this site especially about Aux. heater. Today i got around to stripping down the heater to change the glow plug came apart fairly easy, however when i got to the plug the wires that connect to the plug are neither a push on type or screw on type. The wires seem to be soldered on has any one got any ideas thanks very much.

Heater Blowing Hot When Set To Cold
Bandito replied to mikeohope's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I recently had a similar problem but mine stayed cold and the air direction dial would not work, after removing the whole unit and disconnecting and reconnecting the plugs on the back all seems fine. -

Brake Pedal Whats Yours Like
Bandito replied to zorgman's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
When the pedal is pumped up with engine not running the pedal will go hard, with your foot still on the pedal when you start the engine the pedal will sink to the floor a bit this is normal and lets you know that the servo is working correctly. -
No Gears What So Ever Help Please
Bandito replied to kwakzx62003's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Sounds like a drive shaft fault to me, not so much a gearbox fault. -
I want to change the head unit, i,ve got a plug adapter for the new unit, but on removing the ford unit i found that there is a single violet wire going into it, what is this wire and what do i do with it, the adapter has no facility for it !!

Air con gave up a week after buying Gal from fraud dealership, a phone call later vehicle was picked up from my work and a fiesta left in its place later that day it was returned with a new compressor, this time air con lasted 3 months, again a call to dealership same again vehicle picked up etc etc, this time new condencer, came back nice and cold for about 4 weeks.I found when out side temp. was above 30 degs. the compressor was cutting in and out and only warm air coming from vents when temp. dropped below 30 degs air con worked fine again, another phone call they said "they would collect it and get an expert to look at it". They have fitted a new compressor saying the bearings had gone in the one that was fitted earlier this year, have had it back for 2 weeks and its the best its ever been :) :) :D sorry this is a bit long winded

Creaking Front Suspension/steering
Bandito replied to tiny's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I had the creaking that you describe, by spraying the rubbers on the tops of damper structs with good ol' WD40 it cured it! I,m not saying that this is the cure but it might be worth a try. -
Has the car been lowered if so this will cause the inside edges to wear had same problem on a Beemer i once had.

If i remember correctly a way of testing the servo is with the engine not running pump brake pedal until hard then with foot still pressing on pedal start engine if servo is working pedal should move towards floor an inch or so.

One day an Irishman who had been stranded on a deserted island for over 10 years, saw a speck on the horizon. He thought to himself, "It's certainly not a ship." And, as the speck got closer & closer, he began to rule out the possibilities of a small boat & even a raft. Suddenly there emerged from the surf a wet-suited black clad figure. Putting aside the scuba gear of the wet suit, there stood a drop-dead gorgeous blonde! The glamorous blonde strode up to the stunned Irishman & said to him, "Tell me, how long has it been since you've had a cigarette?" "Ten years," replied the amazed Irishman. With that, she reached over & unzipped a waterproofed pocket on the left sleeve of her wet suit & pulled out a fresh pack of cigarettes. He takes one, lights it & takes a long drag. "Faith and begorrah, "said the man, "that is so good I'd almost forgotten how great a smoke can be!" "And how long has it been since you've had a drop of good Irish whiskey? "asked the blonde. Trembling, the castaway replied, "10 years." Hearing that, the blonde reaches over to her right sleeve unzips a pocket there & removes a flask & hands it to him. He opened the flask & took a long drink. "'Tis nectar of the gods!" stated the Irishman. " 'Tis truly fantastic!! At this point the gorgeous blonde started to slowly unzip the long front of her wet suit, right down the middle. She looked at the trembling man and asked, "And, how long has it been since you played around?" With tears in his eyes, the Irishman fell to his knees & sobbed, "Sweet Jesus! Don't tell me you've got golf clubs in there too!"
