hi guys thank you for all who replied..........im very sorry if i caused any disagrements what i have done is gone down to my local mot station and they say that they DONT test the reverse lites as they are not a legal requirement once again thank you to all who relied regards 1310

hi all.......i have a faulty reverse switch,which ive been told from this site is very akward to change,it works but you have to rest your hand on the gear stick to keep the reverse lights on.this doesnt realy bother me but the m.o.t. is due soon i i want to know if this would be a problem regards 1310

my clutch on my 2.0 gal 1997 bites at about 1\3 of the way up from the floor,is this normal as i am used to older cars and they would bite from the floor any higher and it was a sign of clutch wear do modern fords not work on the same princible any advice would be welomed

sorry guys i forgot to mention that the heater warms up straght away,not that i no what im talking about but would that still mean it could be the stat regards 1310

can somebody clear something up for me. i have a 1997 gal 2.0 gxl,after recoding my key from this great site,im a bit concerned what will happen when i change the battery in the key will i lose my code? also if i have to take the battery off the car will i lose my code? is the key coded to the car or the car to the key? any help would be welomed thank you 1310

you can get air con checked replaced regass at anumber of local garages now tha is a few that will come to you,the only diff is that they will cost half as much as ford thompson,yellow pages.local papers

i have a 1997 gal 2.0 gxl and the air con is not getting cold. there are no funny noises coming into play when i put the air con on,it seems to stay at the same temp as the normal heating and ventilation my problem is someone told me about a regassing kit you can buy from halfords are they easy to use could it likely this is the problem as i dont want to buy kit,at 40 quid to find is wasnt that what else could it be kind regards 1310

can anyone help,i have a 1997 gal 2.0 and the temp gauge is very irratice. it takes a long time to reach operating temp,and as its climbimg to this point,the neddle drops and raises,but never above the true reading,once there it holds fine regagds 1310

can anyone tell me if the mark 1 gal had a light fitted to its clock above the rear view mirror or is it a design fault. if there is a lite,how do i change the bulb kind regards 1310

i have a 1997 gal 2.0 gxl,the problem is that the clock positioned above the rear view mirror doesnt seem to have any illumination at nite,is the a bulb in the,if so how do i change it,or is it just a bad design,and ford thought you wouldnt need to know what time it was when yhe sun went down kind regards 1310

I HAVE A 1997 GAL 2.0 GLX ALL OF A SUDDUN WHEN IT RAINS THE FRONT PASSENGER FOOTWELL GETS FLOODED,IVE CHANGED THE DOOR SEAL WITH NO EFFECT AND HAVE LOOKED IN THE BULKHEAD FOR ANY DEBRIS THAT MIGHT HAVE BUILT UP,BUT NOTHING. PLEASE HELP REGARDS 1310
