  1. You'll kill a Mk2 quite quickly using bio but apparently Mk1's can handle it quite well. Think it will be o.k, been making it over 5 years and hav'nt had any trouble with any of the cars i have had, a few been common rail, as long as the fuel is top notch should be o.k. Know afew guys running MKII's on Bio with no issues. Bioman1966
  2. How many guys are using Bio Diesel on here? Currently running mine on B80 at the moment to wean her in. Bioman1966
  3. Thanks for all the advise, did like you said, opened up the other hose, cleaned the resistor out, drilled it alittle bit bigger so as not to block so easy, and fitted into the new pipe. Will monitor over the next few weeks to see how it is. Bioman1966
  4. Phoned the main stealer, you can't just buy the pipe i wanted, you have to buy the other Two pipes it's connected too, nearly
  5. Coolant should return to the bottle through the top pipe this is usually a restricted flow, the restriction could be in the pipe or in the connector on the bottle this creates an air bleed so small quantities of air and coolant will bleed up to the bottle and not be trapped in the cooling system. So if you remove the pipe from the bottle start engine coolant should be ejected if it doesn't there's a blockage in the pipe. Thanks for this, removed the pipe conecting to the expansion bottle, found this to be blocked, fitted some clear braided hose for now, and its returning fine and the expansion bottle is nice and hot now. Do i need to get the proper pipe from the dealer or can i just fit a normal bit of pipe there?. Do i need the pipe with the plastic bit inside.. Thanks Bioman1966
  6. Cabin Heater fine, Temp Gauge sits at 90deg, the hose near the Alternator is cold to the touch as well. Bioman1966
  7. After driving for a few hours, i can take the cap off and put my finger in and it will still be cold, do you think the pipes what go to it could be blocked? Bioman1966
  8. Hi Guy's, Just a quicky, is the Expansion Bottle suppose to get hot, even driving most of the day it does'nt seem to get hot. Bioman1966
  9. Well, don't know what happened, but took our lass to work this morning, got back removed all the trays and what have you to get to the Heater Matrix pipes, as tomorrow was going to Back flush it, found one pipe hot and one cold, so thought right thats my problem. Then later when i went out for a drive, heat started coming through the vents in the cabin!! :) So getting the water pump done and the Thermostate might of sorted it, or maybe it just sorted itself out with running it, don't know how long it was stood before i bought it. Anyhow one happy bunny. need to sort myself some nice wheels and tyres out. Bioman1966
  10. Hi, Is there a Haynes Manual for the Mark II Galaxy, or some sort of Download, i want to see if i can flush the matrix and Radiator out. Bioman1966
  11. Temp Gauge stays at 90deg, Expantion Bottle is nice and clean, no tell tale signs of any water boiling over round the battery, Can't hear the Run on pump, so that must be Duff. The rear heater does'nt work also. Thanks for the replies guy's. Bioman1966
  12. Sorry about the confusion!! meant to say was'nt Blowing Hot. There is a differance from turning the dail from cold to hot, but only really in the sound of the motor, still blows cold when on hot. Cheers Bioman1966
  13. Hi, Bought my Galaxy 1.9 Tdi PD 2001 afew days ago, was'nt blowing cold, so took to a garage, he changed the water pump, Thermostate and the Timing Belt as that looked none too good, only been on the car 30,000 miles, total cost
