Just had new cv joint fitted at a cost of

Foe people out there whom want to know where the ABS ring is on the cv joint

Here is a pick of a new galaxy cv joint with abs ring Yeap its needed as the abs ring on old cv joint has broken off , so me red bus is going to the garage tomorrow to be fitted and hopefully the abs light wil go out fingers crossed

mine failed the mot last year cos of the abs light not working , the mot tester told me what he knew what was wrong (c v joint abs ring ) he did tell me then that i should replace both front cv joints , but at the time i only replaced 1 of em and now gotta do the other 1 . Theres quite a few cv joints on ebay for the galaxy/sharan/alambra some are very cheap others are around the

B) braved the snow , just jacked up the front end looked at both abs rings on cv joints and the ring on the drivers side has gone nothing left am i right thinking there should be one on both sides ???? yeah i think so , just been looking the web and the best pricewise for a new joint is partsinabox.co.uk

Hi :ph34r: i had the dreaded abs light on last year turned out to be the abs ring on the cv joint had it replaced and all ok but now the abs light has come on again , so once the snow has cleared abit i will have to look at the abs ring on the cv joints I am hoping that its the problem as just phone fords and the want

Thanks for the info was easy haha replaceing the pollen filter was easy but when it came to putting the bulkhead extension was apain in the back side as the expansion bottle and the wiper motor was in the way but with abit of force it went back in . But i did notice that the top of the suspension legs were full of water and very rusty so i might see if i can make up something to go over them cheers

Hi Anyone out there tell me how to fit a pollen filter as i just bought a new one asits not been changed in the 2 years i've owned the galaxy , looks a pain to do so i thought you guys / girls might now .. Thought i would change it cos me front screen keeps misting up , i have cleaned the scuttles out with the hose pipe and running water but it still mist's up a little i have tryed a serch but no results have come back Thankyou

After looking under the bonnet can anyone advise on changing the spark plugs as i looks rather cramped under the bonnet , i want to replace as i have had the Car 3 years and i think its about time i changed them , i boughjt the car at 76,000 miles now at 88,521 thats over the 3 years i've had the car i have replaced the air filter , pollen filter , fuel filter , oil + oil filter so only the plugs to do now Cheers

Hi big daddy I have done nothing to the grill it was that way when i bought the car i have some mesh to put behind it if i can find out how to take the grill off .. only 2 more sleeps and i can have the skirts for it HURRY UP SANTA LOL :o
