If i got someone to come out to me with a vag-com could they tell me whats up ?? as phoned one this morning and he quoted me

Had i good look around the maf for any pipes that are split etc etc and can't see nothing there is a pipe that runs from the middle of the air filter box to the top of the rocker cover which has been rubbing on the engine bracket but it has'nt broken thou started the engine reved it to 4000 rpm for 10-15 seconds then took foot of throttle pedal the engine started to hunt abit revs up n down to under 1000 rpm then back up to 2000rpm then it settled to 1000 rpm and cut out but it sounds very lumpy like its only running on 3 cylinders

forgot to add on the first post I phoned a friend and he told me to pull of the wires on the maf while the ignition was of this i did started the car again and went the same no diffrence

Hi Gotta another problem 1997 r reg 2.0 i when i start the car the revs shoot to 2000 rpm then the engine stalls , the only way i can move the car is rev it till just over 5000 rpm soons ya take ya foot of the accelarator the engine stalls due to go on hoilday in 3 weeks time and need the car so any help in this problem will be greatfully received Thanks

Sold the lock set Phoned fords and was told that if i change all the locks i wont be able to start the car or i could take it to them and they would fit all the locks and sort the code and pats out for just over 300.00 sod that , so i just bought a rear handle and fitting it the weekend so will only have 2 locks as othere members suggested ,, as my galaxy does'nt have remote locking ( well can't see and sensors ) i am looking around for a aftermarket remote locking unit i see 1 on a web site made for the galaxy it just plugs in the loom but i cant find the ruddy site now GGGGRRRRRR WILL JUST HAVE TO KEEP SEARCHING cheers guys

Hi Just got a set of new locks including handles . 2 front door locks and talgate lock and ignition lock as me passenger lock is knackered key turns both ways in lock and nothing happens my question is:- Do i need the red master key ?? as 1 was'nt supplied when i got the car Can the new keys be programmed without the red key ?? my galaxy is the latter of 1997 R Reg Cheers :23:

after looking at the post with the pics you posted i will go for a new lock me thinks even if u have 2 diffrent keys lol just been surfing the net a put in a few requests hopefully i will get a reply from them

Hi went of to work last night put the key into the passenger lock turned it and nothing happened ( door did'nt unlock ) so tryed again and this time both front electric windows went down ( strange not done it before ) .. Looked at it this morning and the lock just spins round and the door stays shut ( ok with boot / drivers lock ) where can i get a replacement lock or lock with the handle do they come as one unit ???? if i get a new lock do i need a new key as well ??? just seams that the car over the last six months i have just been paying out on it every 4-5 weeks a small fortune cv joints , tyres , full exhaust window motors anyone point me in the direction of the euro parts web site ??? I can't name them yet but once and if i get a good result from them i will do so i am lucky as i have the recipt which states refinforced tyres were supplied but tyres say diffrent kumho load 91 refinforced / extra load tyres should be load 95 i hope to hear some time next week on whats gunna happen

They where kumho tyres fitted i just phoned trading standards are they are interested , i have all old tyres which i had to keep getting rid of em would be silly at the momment but after talikng to trading standards i will be taking the matter further will keep updated with my progress

Hi i bought a wheel and tyre package a while ago and a few days ago i had a blowout at 72 mph was very scarey . well i went to my local garage for a new tyre and i was informed buy the garage that the tyres supplied in the package where the wrong tyres as they was'nt reinforced or extra load so i phone the company i bought the wheel/ tyres from and was told theres nothing they can do , i said to him that he knew what car the tyres where for as the wheels where 5 stud and he said u need reinforced tyres at the time i purchased them , even the receipt shows reinforced tyres but they was'nt supplied . thinking about small claims court WHAT DO YOU GUYS RECKON ?? Was'nt a happy bunny was quoted
